brand rationalei had a lot of differing styles and ideas when i first started, but i really loved how cozy i felt inside when i saw a spiffy animals and baked goods. that got me thinking of the emotions i wanted to evoke in viewers when they saw my designs; i not only wanted people to feel emotionally satiated, but physically as well. coupled with my passions in social justice and sustainability, i wanted to create products that would be good for the body and the earth. the designs i created are extremely colorful and vibrant, using lots of warm tones to further this idea of lovely coziness. the typefaces i chose are also sans serif; it's clean but isn't too formal so that the brand seems familiar to all those who view it. the free-flowing nature of the illustrations offer a unique, detailed, and animated personal touch. i wanted this brand to feel familiar, warm, and cozy to its users, easily becoming a staple in people's everyday lives.
personal reflectioni really loved working on this project as i got to develop my own personal style and create products with a mission, vision, and purpose. i got to combine what i'm passionate about: design, social justice, and sustainability, and create something that could help us struggling college students. i've always wanted to experiment more with assets and mockups. the marketing and design work i've done in the past and still do to this day haven't been as multifaceted as this project and i'm really glad to have been able to experiment with so many mediums to create a product and brand i'm really proud of!
